I am excited about the Great White Throne Judgment.

That is not normal. A prediction of judgment does not produce mild discomfort. It produces dread or denial. People suppress the truth because they love darkness. They want no throne, no Judge, no exposure. If there is no final accounting, they can keep hiding.

But I am filled with joyful anticipation. I can hardly wait.

Not because I take sin lightly. Not because I minimize judgment. Not because I misunderstand the holiness of God.

Precisely because I understand it.

There was a time I asked the Lord something very specific. I had no problem with private conviction. I understand correction. What I wrestled with was this.

If I am forgiven, why would I need to be reminded of all my sins so publicly at the Great White Throne Judgment.

That was the question.

The answer came into my spirit with a clarity that felt almost audible.

For My glory.

Everything shifted.

The opening of the books is not about diminishing the redeemed. It will exalt Him. When the full record of what His blood covered is revealed, the magnitude of His mercy will be undeniable. The darker the sin, the brighter the grace. The deeper the debt, the greater the glory of the One who paid it.

Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more.

Exposure always precedes something. For those who cling to darkness it precedes punishment. For those who love the light it precedes intimacy. A wise man loves correction. A wise man asks to be searched. Because what God reveals, He empowers us to overcome.

God does not expose His children to crush them. He reveals to draw near. Revelation without repentance leads to judgment. Revelation with humility leads to deeper fellowship.

Those who know the score know that Jesus has already won. The Lamb of God has taken away the sin of the world. The Author of life has conquered death. Why would I fear standing on the winning side when His victory is the whole point of history.

If you truly love Him, you will not fear exposure. You will rejoice in it, because it exalts the One you love.

This is His story. His triumph. His victory lap. His name lifted high as redeemed sinners stand under His righteousness.

Maranatha. Even so, come quickly Lord. And in Your patience, save all who are willing.
