Sometimes you don’t get agreement. Not everyone wants truth…
Sometimes you don’t get agreement. Not everyone wants truth. Not everyone is ready to hear it. Scripture says that plainly.
Second Epistle to Timothy 4:3–4
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine… and will turn away their ears from the truth.”
So the goal isn’t always winning people over. Sometimes the most you can do is speak clearly, stand firm, and let error expose itself.
Even silence can be victory when false teaching loses its voice.
Epistle to the Ephesians 5:11
“Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Light doesn’t argue with darkness. It simply shines, and darkness leaves.
And we are not called to stay quiet.
Book of Proverbs 31:8–9
“Open your mouth… speak for what is right.”
If good men stay silent, error spreads unchecked. But when truth is spoken calmly and faithfully, even if hearts don’t change, deception loses ground.
Not every battle ends in agreement.
Sometimes the win is simply that lies don’t go unchallenged.
